I am not going dwell on the fact that Michigan just gave up on the school year today. I know it’s coming to North Carolina, too, and I just cannot process that quite yet.
I’m also not going to mention that I’ve emptied and loaded the dishwasher approximately 143 times in the last three weeks. Or any of the umpteen other things that are slowly driving us all mad in this stay-at-home experiment. Nope, not going to mention them.
Instead, I’m focusing on the Top 8 Best Things to Happen in the Last Few Days:
8. Ally finally wrote her birthday gift thank-you notes AND I know where the stamps are. Who cares that her birthday was 44 days ago?
7. After two weeks of my work laptop losing its WiFi over and over again every afternoon between 1-5 p.m., I finally figured out why and fixed it.
6. We ran out of mulch so I can’t do anymore yard work right now.
5. Tiger King.
4. Finally got kayaks out on Lake Davidson. However, watching 47 Meters Down: Uncaged the night before may not have been the best idea.
3. Mallory led Casey and Ally in her gymnastics conditioning workout and showed she is not a warm and fuzzy kind of personal trainer.
2. Three Zoom happy hours with old friends from far away. The best thing to come out of this.
1. Publix grocery delivery came through with chicken breasts today and I felt like I won the lottery.
May all your groceries be in stock and your WiFi connection strong.
Peace. XO.
